Announcements West Ridge SDA Fellowship August 18, 2007

• The ABC truck will be at Calgary Central SDA Church on Tuesday August 21, 2007 from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and Wednesday August 22, 2007 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The next time it will be in Calgary are September 18 and 19, 2007 for the same times.

• Pastor Honey and family are away to visit family in Australia until early September.

• From the Principal's Office:
  Schools across the Province will soon be resuming. Chinook Winds will be starting classes September 4. I know that most of the students are probably anxious to get back to the routine of classes and studying. Summer holidays are great but life goes on, and academic careers must be pursued.
  We have undergone some staff changes over the summer. We will be welcoming back Mr. Kapiniak and are looking forward to the great musical program that he will help to reestablish. Mr. Bol is leaving and moving to Ontario, we wish Mr. & Mrs. Bol all the best. Mrs. Suzie Jecrois-Pierre from Ontario will be our new physics/science/math teacher, we welcome Suzie, her husband Jacques and their three children to Chinook Winds. Our chaplain, Pastor Greg Baldeo, will also not be returning in September. Pastor Baldeo and his family will be moving to Jamaica where Pastor Baldeo will be pursing pastoral opportunities. We wish the Baldeo family a safe trip and will miss them. We will keep you informed as to who our new chaplain will be.
  

  Also coming to Chinook Winds is Victoria Presley, Victoria will be our new physical education teacher. We are excited about Victoria joining our staff and look forward to a great year.
  We are excited about our new gym floor, please drop by for a look, you will be impressed! We also had the ventilation system thoroughly cleaned over the summer. We want to thank the Fitch family for spearheading this project.

Their presentations are designed to inspire us to a deeper study and understanding of God as He speaks to us through Bible. Models of prayer from the Bible will be shared and demonstrated.

  • A Work Bee has be scheduled at the school April 29th at 10 a.m. Please come and help freshen up the school. We need someone with a truck to be able to help haul garbage to the dump. If you can give of your time please call the school or just drop by onApril 29th. We'd love to have your help!
